Spending summers with my family in Fethiye, Turkey, I have always found solace and inspiration from the Mediterranean coast. The patterns and forms of my pieces reveal an intimacy I have developed with rocks, soils, and other earth materials that I have formed as an international mining engineer. Each element in my unique hand-built sculptures is a piece onto itself assembled in designs and forms that belie few, if any, antecedents.

I am fascinated by the ever-changing patterns within the earth and human systems—transforming these complex, dynamic relationships into abstract ceramic sculptures. This process is not just an act of creation but a form of narrative exploration, making the invisible visible and the inarticulate eloquently expressed
