931 Gallery is proud to present new work by Mark Brasuell with the showing, Traumwelt (Dream World), and Fred Becker with, Generative.
Mark Brasuell: Traumwelt
Mark Brasuell is showing his new work from the series, Traumwelt, beautifully, dark and engaging black-and-white drawings with hints of color. The artwork is an extension of gradual interest in the unconscious and essentially where do ideas and creative thoughts come from. Large drawings floating in space creating a dream like environment for everyone to get lost in.
Fred Becker: Generative
I have incorporated screen printed patterns derived from photos I took of crushed, stacked, Ram trucks in the work displayed in this show. This imagery has provided a rich resource, generating over a dozen paintings and mono-prints. The cellular nature of the pattern reiterate its structure throughout multiple applications and manipulations. The legacy of abstract expressionism shows up in my chaotic color fields as does the psychedelia of my generation in both the front and back gallery at Gallery 931, located at 931 Santa Fe Drive, in Denver’s Santa Fe Arts District.
